In 2009, triple j asked listeners to vote for their Hottest 100 albums of all time. In 2011, it's happening again, except this time it's the Hottest 100 AUSTRALIAN albums of all time! All you have to do is go the the site right here and put together your list of top 10 favorite Aussie albums ever.

Just for doing that, you could be the lucky winner of all the Hottest 100 Australian Albums of All Time. Plus triple j's Green & Golden ticket – free entry for you and a friend to all the Australian artist gigs that triple j supports for an entire year! How good is that?

Voting closes in a couple of weeks, so get cracking on your favorites and remember, it's all about what YOU think the best 10 Australian albums of all time are, so pick albums that have meaning to you! Basement Birds - International Songwriting Competition Winners!

Awesome news today as we're very excitied to announce that Basement Birds have won the Adult Album Alternative catagory in the International Songwriting Competition for 2010 with "Bus Stop"! With over 15,000 entries from 115 countries and judged by Peter Gabriel, Tom Waits, Steve Winwood amongst many other famous names, it's quite an honour to receive the award!

In addition Basement Birds have also received an honourable mention for "Waiting For You" in the Folk/Singer-Songwriter Catagory.

Although predominantly an American based competition, this year has seen a lot of winners from Australia. You can check out all the finalists and winners at the ISC site right here!

The grand finale is only days away!

The show is currently sold out as it is held in the indoor section of the building. The Art Gallery would like to move it outside and are watching the weather forecast closely. At the moment, it does look like Perth will be getting its first spot of rain in ages on Thursday but the Gallery plans to let everyone know of their decision on Wed afternoon. If it is moved outside, then more tickets will be released. As soon as the decision is made, we will be sure to get word straight out to you. So...watch this space closely.

Well, it's been a while between updates, but we do have some exicting news today as Bus Stop has been selected as a finalist in the International Songwriting Competition, under the Adult Album Alternative catagory, and Waiting for You in the Folk catagory. The finalists were pooled from over 15,000 entries, making this year's ISC the most competitive ever, so we're pretty stoked to see Basement Birds in the running for 2 awards! Whilst it's up to the ISC judges to pick the winners, fans can have a say in the People's Voice catagory. Voting is now open and will close on March 31st, so there's not a heap of time to get your votes in! Well sadly the Good Evening and Good night tour has technically come to an end but fans fear not!

As part of the "iTunes live from Sydney" series, the guys'll be performing a set in the Sydney Apple Store in George St on Friday September 24th! It's a great opportunity to catch them in Sydney. You may even be able to get yourself to the front of the line here thanks to Nova FM!

Don't forget though the 'Birds will be flocking to Coaster Festival 2010 in Gosford on Sept 25th and the intimate Spring in the Valley Festival 9 & 10th October in Swan Valley, WA.
